Who Are We Partnering With?
We’re excited to join forces once again with Shady Grove Baptist Church (SGBC) for this mission trip! Their team brings energy, passion, and a heart for outreach, and we love working together. This year, we’re also expanding our reach by partnering with a new church plant in Corry, PA, and we can’t wait to include them in what God is doing across our region!
What is Neighbors in Action?
This event may sound new, but it has a familiar heart! In the past, we’ve called it VBS, then Jam in the Park—but this year, we’re launching under a new name: Neighbors in Action.
Why the change?
We’re moving forward in our vision to deploy into our neighborhoods and community in a way that’s flexible, mission-driven, and easier to recognize as unique to FBC Clarion.
Last year, we realized another local church also hosts events called “JAM - Jesus and Me” which led to some confusion. So, we’ve renamed it one final time—and we’re excited to lean into this new identity as we live out our mission together.
Love Kits Outreach – How You Can Help
We’re collecting items for Love Kits—think Operation Christmas Child, but for local outreach.
During last year’s mission trip, we identified real needs in our community, especially around food insecurity and rising grocery costs. These kits will be distributed throughout the week to bless those we meet. Let’s pack these kits full of love and encouragement!
🎁 What to Donate: Toiletries, snacks, and other small essentials

T-Shirts Available!
We’ll have Neighbors in Action T-shirts available (hopefully!) on Sunday, June 8.
We're asking for a $5 donation per shirt if you're able—this helps offset costs and keeps more of our budget focused on outreach.
Optional: Day Trip to Hershey Park – Monday, June 10
SGBC is planning a leisure day trip to Hershey Park, and they’ve invited any FBC families who’d like to join!
🚌 We’ll travel together on Sunday and can take our FBC bus.
🏠 SGBC will cover the cost of staying at the BRN House in Harrisburg.
🎟️ You are responsible for your own Hershey Park tickets, meals, and personal expenses.
📩 Interested? Let Jason know so we can plan accordingly!
We know there’s a lot happening on short notice this year, but we invite you to jump in and take a look at all the ways you can get involved.
Let’s work together to develop disciples who display God’s love as we deploy into God’s world.
